The slabs of fresh corn kernels were tender and juicy, so was the fish. --- After doing some inline-skating at Port Melbourne, we headed off to St Kilda to grab some lunch. Julia had heard good things about the Bluecorn Mexican restaurant, and so Mexican it was. As it turns out, the food there was quite good. More authentic Mexican, and less Tex-Mex that is full of cheese and sour cream. Because it was before noon, only the breakfast menu was available, which was actually cheaper than the lunch menu! Always a fan of the soft corn tortillas, we ordered a quesadilla. This was no ordinary quesadilla. This was a Tequila Jalapeno quesadilla, filled with juicy ocean trout, fresh corn, black beans, shredded lettuce, and topped with cheese and salsa. Very yummy! We were going to order another dish from the lunch menu once that was available, but we didn't need to because the serves were big enough to fill us both! After a fiery brunch, we had a gelati from 7 Apples to cool off. The gelati was nice and smooth, and not as sweet as some.
